Prepare for Takeoff: When God Answers Your Prayer for Transformation

Have you ever prayed for God to do a mighty work in you, to transform your life and help you become the person He’s called you to be? I did, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride.

Months ago, I asked the Lord to do a mighty work in me, and He has been faithful to answer that prayer. But it’s not been easy. In fact, it’s been some of the hardest, yet most rewarding work I’ve ever done.

When you ask God to do a mighty work in you, you better buckle up, because He will take you on a journey. It’s likely not going to be a magical ride filled with sunshine and roses, where you’re instantly transformed into the person God’s created you to be. No, it’s a journey of growth, and growth can hurt.

Over the past months, I’ve experienced days filled with hurt, heartache, and tears. But I’ve also encountered growth, relief, grace, and peace. It’s been a journey of facing deep-seated wounds and hurts that I had buried deep within my soul, hoping they would never surface. But instead of finding freedom, I discovered that these unaddressed wounds were infecting me from the inside out.

As I’ve walked through this journey, I’ve been forced to confront the lingering effects of childhood trauma, emotional abuse, and manipulation. I’ve had to face my need for people-pleasing and the ways in which it’s held me back. But as I’ve surrendered these things to God, I’ve found comfort in His presence, rather than seeking validation from others. I’ve learned to find my worth in Him, rather than in the opinions of those around me.

That’s what I’ve been learning on this journey: that God’s mighty work in me requires my willingness to face the hard stuff and to find comfort in His presence. It’s a journey of transformation, and it’s not always easy. But it’s worth it.

As I continue on this journey, I’m reminded that transformation is an ongoing process. It’s not a one-time event, but a lifelong pursuit. I’ll always be asking God to search me, to transform me, and to guide me.

And as I look to the future, I’m excited to see how God uses this transformation to bring about purpose and passion in my life. I’ve been sensing a stirring in my heart, a calling to something. A new chapter is unfolding, one that involves a fresh project that I believe will be a game-changer for many. I’ll be sharing more details soon, so be sure to stay tuned!

If you’re feeling stuck or stagnant in your faith, I encourage you to pray for a mighty work in your life. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. And if you’re willing to take the journey, I’d love to have you along for the ride.
