When Friday Feels Final: The Hope of Sunday’s Resurrection

Hey friends, I wanted to share something with you that’s been on my heart lately. You know that powerful phrase, “It’s Friday, but Sunday is coming!”? It’s a reminder that even in the darkest moments, hope is always on the horizon.

When Life Feels Overwhelming

I have a loved one who’s going through an incredibly tough time right now. Life is throwing some heavy punches, and it feels like the darkness is closing in. I’m sure many of you have been there too – those moments when it feels like everything is crashing down, and you’re not sure how to keep going.

A Glimpse into the Disciples’ Grief

I try to put myself in the disciples’ shoes during that first Easter weekend. Can you imagine the pain and grief they felt when Jesus was crucified? It’s like their whole world had been turned upside down. But then came Sunday – the day of resurrection, the day of hope renewed. The impossible became possible, and the ultimate darkness was turned to light.

Holding onto Hope

That’s what I want to remind my loved one, and myself, and all of us – that Sunday is coming! Jesus reminds us in John 16:33, “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” Trials and dark times are inevitable, but we can take heart because Jesus has overcome.

Don’t Believe the Enemy’s Lie

In the midst of darkness, it’s easy to believe the enemy’s lie – that there’s no hope, no light on the horizon. But we must resist this lie and hold onto the truth. Be still, believe, and remember: Sunday is coming!

My Prayer for You

If you’re going through a tough time right now, I want you to know that you’re not alone. I’m praying for you, and I hope you’ll hold onto hope with me. Remember that Sunday is coming – the light of Jesus will always prevail.

*My Thoughts, Not a Sermon: I’m not a preacher, and this isn’t a sermon. These are just my honest thoughts and feelings about life, faith, and everything in between*
